The boys who kiss and bite, They are the brilliant ones who speak and write with silver luck… They sing in clever tongues, Oh how my knees go weak to be the one.

Hi hey hello,

I hope you all had a spectacular weekend! Mine was pretty wonderful, Friday I spent babysitting. Saturday I spent the morning lounging around watching the England vs. Sweden match, then met up with Kate for lunch and some much needed girl time! We sat in Newk’s for probably four hours just catching up. It was so nice to get to spend that time with her. After lunch, I headed home, but before I got home, I stopped in a garden. At said garden there were the normal sorts of veggies, but then I saw… SUNFLOWERS. If you follow my flickr, you’ve already seen these, but for those who don’t… Behold their sheer beauty!

On Sunday, Father’s Day, we went to church, ate lunch at my dad’s restaurant of choice, which happened to be Chipotle. To say we enjoy that restaurant would be an understatement. We then went to Costco for some things, we ended up picking up a bag of dark chocolate covered pomegranate seeds. Oh my goodness. So unbelievably delicious! We went out to Monticello to pick up a watermelon, to visit my late grandfather’s house and to visit his grave. It was quite a nice afternoon. We then went home and relaxed arounfd the house, I watched the end of the Portugal v Netherlands match, took a nap, and caught up on some blog reading!

What did you all do this weekend? Do you like sunflowers? Have you been watching Euro 2012?

Friday Favorites!

Hi hey hello,

Yet another installment of Friday Favorites! I think I am kinda liking this whole thing, so it will probably be sticking around for a while. I like having regularity in my life. It is nice to have every now and then. This week’s topic is something that I just cannot get enough of. It is amazing, comforting, awe-inspiring. If you cannot guess what it is, it is fire. I am in LOVE with fire, it is beautiful, and we can wield it. That is so cool! Without further delay: Fire!

What do you think about fire? Good? Bad? Fun?

I got a pocket, got a pocket full of sunshine, I got a love and I know that it’s all mine oh…

Hi hey hello,

So, I just finished watching a football game as I write this. I cannot believe FSU lost to Virginia… this is horrific and we think we stand a chance against Florida next week. I mean really. Sorry for the nonsensical ranting, but I do love my team.

On a better note, we had my hometown thanksgiving dinner today. Half of my family lives in town and the other half lives down south, so we will be going there for Thanksgiving day, but we had our little feast today with the family that lives here. Some aunts and uncles came, along with cousins who I haven’t seen in a while, the best friend also showed up. I love it when you are so close to someone that it seems normal to have them over for Thanksgiving dinner. I thought about doing the stereotypical “What I am Thankful For..” post, but I figured I would save that for the real Thanksgiving.

Do you all have multiple Thanksgiving celebrations due to family location? Do you enjoy football, if so, who is your team? If not, what sports do you like, to play or watch?

Became as mad as rabbits, with bushels of bad habits….

Hi hey hello,

This weekend was the weekend of my school’s play. This year they did It’s A Wonderful Life. Words cannot describe how amazing they were. Every last actor did a fantastic job, but not only the actors, but the crew and tech people were awesome. All the crew guys and gals did an amazing job making every scene flow and gel, without too much interruption. The tech guys were awesome, everything was on cue. Overall a terrific job, and there is still one more performance.

I have been to both performances so far, and I will be attending today’s as well. If you have some today, at 11 am at Community Christian School they have their final performance. You will not be disappointed. For students, tickets are 5 dollars, for adults tickets are 10 dollars. Each and every member that put together this production has worked so hard and their hard work has really paid off. Each year this school puts on an amazing performance, topping the previous year and we always think nothing could possibly be better, and then somehow our incredible director tops that.

Really, guys, they are so awesome and have worked so hard. It is worth the money and time to go see it.

Time is waiting, we only got four minutes to save the world!

Hi hey hello,

So, since yesterday was pretty much the most boring day ever, other than the fact that I got two new skirts, I have some pictures from a few weeks ago. Back when the weather was warm and you could go out in shorts and a tank and not freeze.

Enjoy!

And truth be told, I miss you. And truth be told, I’m lying!

Hi hey hello,

So, last night I attended my school’s Fall Concert, in which the people involved in the arts at my school perform. There was the band, high school and middle school choirs, a scene from the upcoming play, and the dance team. They were all fantastic and I throughly enjoyed watching some of my good friends perform. It got me super pumped for the upcoming play as well. If any of you are in the area November 17,18,or 19, definitely come by and check it out! Tickets are 10 dollars.

On another note, I will have a photo post coming up at some point, I feel like my blog has been rather bare lately. At least of my pictures. Maybe I will do a photo session this weekend!
